Volunteer:

We have ongoing opportunities for volunteers. There is always something to do, available for people who are new in recovery, just like to stay busy or would like to perform community service hours. Please see the house person or any board member for more info.

Below are some of our yearly annual events that depend on volunteers.

Whitehouse Annual Kids Easter Egg Hunt:

Held on a Saturday prior to Easter at noon, volunteers hide candy filled eggs, help organize age groups, set and clean up. Pictures are taken with the Easter Bunny.

Whitehouse Annual Yard Sale:

The yard sale is in August. This is our fund raiser for the White House Conference. We accept donations that need to be sorted and stored until the sale. Volunteers sort clothes, shoes, books, household items, etc... usually on Saturday afternoons in the months previous to the sale.

Whitehouse Annual Conference:

The conference is held in September. This is a 4 day event celebrating recovery with food, guest speakers, meetings and a dance on Saturday night. Volunteers help with set up, decorating, tear down and clean up, food service and preparation.

Thanksgiving Dinner:

If you would like to come and help prepare, we will be doing prep the day/evening prior. If you would like to help set-up, serve or help clean up after the dinner please show up the morning of the holiday. Dinner is served at noon.

Whitehouse Annual Kids Christmas Party:

Held the last Saturday before Christmas at noon, volunteers help with activities, pictures taken with Santa, hand out gifts to children 12 and under, milk and cookies served. Set and clean up.

Christmas Dinner:

If you would like to come and help prepare, we will be doing prep Christmas Eve day/evening. If you would like to help set-up, serve or help clean up after the dinner please show up the morning of the holiday. Dinner is served at noon.
